Current Project(s):
March & April 2007: I delivered PK-MPJ (former N1269J) out to Indonesia for MAF in 2005 as part of
the Sumatra tsunami relief effort. MAF has used it to provide essential humanitarian services for the
peoples of Indonesia. As the relief effort has matured, the need for an amphibious aircraft has
decreased. In June, I brought N1276P (now PK-MAD) a wheeled Grand Caravan back out to
Indonesia to replace MPJ. Photos used courtesy of
Mission Aviation Fellowship.
Recent/Ongoing projects: Eclipse 500 Very Light Jet & Cirrus SR-22 Turbo
Selected Past Projects & Trips:
I have been consulting multiple Eclipse 500 position holders, traveled to Albuquerque to fly in
the aircraft, inspect the company facility & production line. I consider the VLJ concept an
interesting opportunity in the evolution of personal air travel.
October 2006: Seneca V delivery via North Pacific to TaeAn, Republic of Korea for HanSeo
Aviation University.
Bill Leahy Aviation & International Aerospace Solutions, Inc.
Providing International Aviation Expertise Since 1997
February 2005 & July 2005: PK-MAO leaves Sentani, Indonesia on wheels and returns to Papua
on
Wipline 8360 amphib floats.
July 2005: DHC-6 Twin Otter delivery to Papua New Guinea for MAF-Australia. A Twin Otter really
can carry a load! We put 1000 USG of Jet-A in the cabin for the long jumps. You can see that I
occasionally ask a lot of my copilots as well...
I have been providing maintenance consulting and flying with Cirrus SR-22 owners including a
SF Bay Area SR-22 Turbo owner/pilot. The Turbo is just as easy to fly as the normally
aspirated SR-22. The turbo installation by Cirrus/Tornado Alley is simple and easy to maintain.
January & June 2007: Assisting GoExpress! in their effort to get up and go to Hawaii. More
aircraft are on the way soon. There is 76P in the background...
Favorite People, Places & Links:
July 2005: Delivery of N1269J (now PK-MPJ) to Indonesia via the North Pacific route allowed me
to stop in and see some interesting aircraft.
Quest Aircraft builds the Kodiak, a well designed
back-country aircraft which was a blast to fly! I am looking forward to delivering some soon. We
got up close and personal (on the ground) with some basically airworthy MiG-25s in Petropavlovsk,
Russia. No, they didn't let me take one out for a test flight...
IAMA: International Association of Missionary Aviation - The association provides a central point of
contact for a wide variety of organizations that utilize aviation technology to further missionary and
humanitarian efforts around the world. You can find links to just about all of the missionary aviation
community there.

Quest Aircraft Company: Producing the Kodiak. An excellent tool to serve unimproved areas.

AIR LLC: Aircraft Investor Resources, LLC - Parent company of Epic Aircraft. Developing 5 different
models of well thought out modern composite aircraft powered by the venerable P&WC PT-6
turboprop engine or Williams FJ-33 turbofan engine(s).

The Village: A tropical island inn, Pohnpei, Micronesia - If I am winging my way across the Pacific via the
South route, you can just about guarantee that I will spend a crew rest day at this excellent
eco-tourism resort.

Ron Paul: Every person hoping for some moderation in the affairs of men are disappointed with the
choices offered the U.S. 2008 Presidential Election. Having met & spoken with Congressman Paul, I
can attest that he has the prescription for change that the U.S. and the world needs...
Pictures of Pohnpei: Approaching the island from the East, long house at The Village, flying by The
Village to let them know I have arrived, the ruins of Nan Madol, a local's canoe out on the reef, nearby
Ant Atoll in Micronesia.
April  & May 2007: First, a "pop-up" trip from Guam to Honolulu in a 500S Shrike Commander. I
installed the ferry system, test flew the aircraft and flew it for 27 non-autopilot hours across the
Pacific in 2 days of almost non-stop flying. Certainly a busy week...I didn't even get to attempt any of
Bob Hoover's maneuvers, but did stop in on Tinian. The #2 pic is of the now closed airfield that the
USAAF B-29s took off from for the atomic attack on Japan in WW II. After that was a quick trip to
Johannesburg, RSA in a new G36 Bonanza alongside another delivery pilot of renown in ferry pilot
circles flying his SR-22...The Sahara certainly is beautiful when seen from down low (7000 feet msl),
but forbidding.
March 2008: Just finished multiple trips to Africa including this trip in a T206H for a member of
Nigeria's Parliment. I was accompanying Denny Craig, who runs Aviation Services International as he
journeyed to Johannesburg, RSA in a new Cirrus SR-22G3. Winter winds and weather forced a 14.1
hour crossing from Halifax, Canada to the Azores, but other than that, a reasonably good trip...and
yes, I can fit into a Jabiru J430...
Mid 2008: I Just finished two deliveries via the North Pacific route to Singapore. The first was a
fine Katmai 260SE C182 modified by Todd Peterson of
Peterson Aviation fame. The second was a
nice new SR-22G3. Both are for private owners based in Singapore. As you can see, Dutch Harbor
is chilly even in late June!

Coming soon: Another Cessna Caravan to Indonesia for Mission Aviation Fellowship
